One of the biggest punk, metal and hard rock festivals in the nation is Aftershock and it will return to Sacramento on Oct. 3-4 2026 with the main event taking place at 160-acre Discovery Park. This Saturday will be a wildly incendiary day as the grounds of Discovery Park will turn into one giant mosh pit as some of the heaviest and most popular acts on the planet will be performing all day long. Saturday's lineup will feature sets from Pierce The Veil, Babymetal, A Day To Remember and Black Label Society with dozens of other acts scheduled to perform Saturday and Sunday as well.

Pierce The Veil’s songs from The Jaws of Life as well as their RIAA certified hits like “Bulletproof Love” Japan’s most decorated pop-metal band Babymetal. They bring their kawaii (cute) metal sound to the show just after being crowned number one on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock charts. Pop-punk with a metalcore twist from A Day To Remember’s Big Ole Album Vol. 1. Heavy metal from Black Label Society with Zakk Wylde.

Pierce The Veil

San Diego post-hardcore quintet Pierce The Veil, who were founded in 2006. The band’s songs “Bulletproof Love”, “King for a Day” and “Caraphernelia” have connected with the fans. Pierce The Veil’s 2023 album The Jaws of Life debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums, Alternative Albums and Hard Rock Albums charts. 

Babymetal

Japanese J-Pop idols that merge beautiful and catchy pop melodies with heavy metal music. Watch as SU-METAL, MOAMETAL and MOMOMETAL perform their current hit songs such as “Gimme Chocolate!!” “Karate” and “PA PA YA!!” through highly intricate and dynamic choreography. The idols are carrying on the tradition of innovative music with their latest album “The Other One” which was released in 2023. The J-Pop metal group is also making history for being the first Asian act to reach number one on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums Chart in 2019 and reaching number one on the US Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. 

A Day To Remember

A Day To Remember is a melting pot of pop-punk and metalcore and is made up of some great songs such as "The Downfall of Us All", "All I Want" and the emotional "If It Means a Lot to You". The five piece band from Ocala, Florida, who were formed in 2003, have toured the globe and have released eight albums to date. Their 2025 album "Big Ole Album Vol. 1" was initially released physically before being later released digitally. The band has claimed the number one position on Billboard's Rock, Indie and Alternative Charts on numerous occasions and have had a number of their albums receive a platinum certification. 

Black Label Society

A heavy metal group founded by guitarist/singer Zakk Wylde in Los Angeles in 1998. Their powerful songs such as “In This River”, “Stillborn” and “Suicide Messiah” all contain the incredible shredding guitar work of Wylde. Engines of Destruction, their upcoming album, will be released in 2026 and will include some of the band’s other songs as well as some from their greatest collection of music. One song from this collection won a GRAMMY Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance of 2013.

A spacious 302 acres to run, jump and bounce from stage to stage to food booth to vendor and everything in between.
